Embrace outdoor Florida. The Sunshine State is a world of its own, home to unique environments, diverse wildlife, and engaging cultures.  Traverse endemic habitats from sand hills to sand bars, and see unique species.  Prepare to swim, snorkel, camp out, and still find time to ride world class roller coasters and meet amazing animals from deep seas to jungle treetops at SeaWorld and Busch Gardens.

Here are just some of the experiences you can expect:

  • Study sea grass ecology while snorkeling salt water fishes in the Florida Keys
  • Paddle a pristine Florida river, home to sunbathing alligators and diving ospreys
  • Experience a swamp buggy ride through the Everglades in search of an endangered Florida panthers and Everglades kites
  • Enjoy Seminole Indian tales around a campfire and slumber in a native-style chickee lodge
  • Dive with sharks and sleep next to endangered manatees at SeaWorld Orlando
  • Enjoy all the world class rides, shows, and immersion animal exhibits Busch Gardens and SeaWorld offer

Wild Florida is a 9-night long, intense travel camp which begins at 12:00PM Friday morning and ends promptly 10 days later on Sunday morning at 9:00AM.  Adventure Camps are fully chaperoned resident camps that include the following amenities:

    • Transportation between Busch Gardens and Tampa International Airport (TPA)
    • All meals and snacks
    • Four Adventure Camps T-shirts and a water bottle
    • Housing at our onsite dormitory, Mzinga Lodge, and secure, staffed dormitories at other select educational facilities

    Programs, dates, fees and discounts are subject to change and/or cancellation. Please sign up for the grade the camper will be entering in the fall 2010.
